It was part of the Week of Italian Language in the World, held in Baku’s Landmark Business Centre. The Italian Festival of Fashion and Design was the most prominent event in Baku in the beginning of November.
This highly acclaimed exhibition was about fashion, jewellery and art and it was one of the many events to promote Italian products in Azerbaijan. Italy’s presence in Azerbaijan is clearly felt, especially in the most elegant areas of Baku, and many people attended the Festival to enjoy a visit to the showroom of Italian-made products and furniture.
“I am very proud to present this event in Azerbaijan, because this is the real partnership to strengthen the bilateral economic relationship between Italy and Azerbaijan” said D’Aprea, Italian trade commissioner. “This is an immense event and it allows us to thoroughly present Italian offer in Azerbaijan” he also said.
He mentioned that although this event’s strength and success is the result of the Italian coordination, without the support of local companies it would have been impossible to realize it.
“That’ why I would like to thank all the Italian-Azeri representatives in Azerbaijan” he said.
Many top Italian brands from clothing to jewelry took part at the Festival and guests were impressed and entertained by a lavish display of fashionable and luxury products. Brands included Amazon, My Brands, Ducati, Trussardi, Avenue, Liberi, Maserati, Ferrari and many more.
An exclusive collection of Italian flags crafted by top Italian fashion houses were also featured during the event.
The interest in the event was really high this time, both from participating brands and the attending public, and many important guests took part in the event also.
The Festival was organised by the Italian Trade Agency, the Italian Embassy and the Azerbaijani-Italian Friendship Association.
The event represented another successful occasion of cooperation and friendship between the two countries.
This is the second edition of the Festival, and everybody is already looking forward to the third edition.
The Italian trade commissioner also said about Azerbaijan: “I really enjoy to stay here and to cooperate. But that is not all of it. I enjoy and like Azerbaijan very much. Azerbaijan provides me with special emotion on professional side. Also I enjoy knowing people and culture. And our cultures are much closer than we think”.
Following the fashion show, guests were invited to attend the concert program, where Stefano Muscaritolo, Kamala Alizadeh and Ilham Nazarov created an enchanting atmosphere that was deeply enjoyed by all the participants.
